Bump Gas

Bump Gas Balloon T Assembly

10L Bump Alarm Test Gas Cylinder for "Bump" Testing Gas Detectors

Simple and cost effective means to keep your gas monitor in compliance with the law.

The only way to guarantee that a gas monitor will detect gas reliably is to test it with a concentration of gas. Functional or Bump Testing is important to verify if the gas to be measured by your detector is able to flow through the filters onto the sensor(s), test the alarms are working properly, and check that the sensor(s) are working properly.

Use of "Bump" gas is very important! The best practice is to bump test your gas monitor before each use.

Our Bump Gas Cylinder is conveniently packaged in a self contained aerosol spray on canister.

Easy to use, inexpensive insurance of a properly operating gas monitor.

At a nominal cost, the Balloon T Assembly w/ orifice allows the user to release the bump gas slower, it is an economical way to "stretch" the bump gas.

4 of 5 bump gas June 18, 2018
Reviewer: Dan Alexandar from SF, CA
We now have to bump test all of our gas monitors before using each day.  That sucks!  Gave the rating 4 starts because its a pain in the butt!  The product worked like its supposed to.  We will be ordering more when this one runs out.  Should be a 5 start rating, I'm just a bit pissed off.

5 of 5 Highly recommended to buy the balloon assembly December 4, 2013
Reviewer: Michael Brenner from Rockville, MD
I highly recommend buying the balloon T assembly, as it really does help make the gas last longer.  Just know to pinch the hose to fill the balloon.  All it takes is a couple of seconds to fill the balloon to a baseball size then release the hose while holding the gas monitor at the end of the hose.
Using the assembly we were able to do 2-3 times more bump test than without.

5 of 5 Bump test made easy October 28, 2013
Reviewer: Pat Anderson from Bartleville, OK
We used these for our daily bump tests.  Had one gas monitor that seemed to work properly, but our bump test proved it wrong.  We had no indication that the explosive sensor wasn't working properly.  The bump test confirmed we had a problem.
