Photo-ionization Detectors & VOC Detectors

Photo-ionization detectors are used measure volatile organic compounds and other gases in concentrations of parts per billion (PPB) or parts per million (PPM). Portable PIDs are sensitive instruments that can be used in a wide variety of applications such as:
  • Hazardous waste site clean-up
  • Protecting workers from toxic vapors at refineries
  • Leak detection for compliance at pulp and paper plants

  • Environmental - screen VOCs emitted from contaminated soils and leaking storage drums o Disposal - toxic hazardous waste disposal sites, industrial plants, and transportation services o Monitoring- monitor hazardous waste containers at old disposal, landfills, garbage sites, closed industrial plants and military sites
